Thanks to the Talking Information Center, you can now listen to some of the Plymouth Independent’s journalism.
Since 1978, the Marshfield-based center has provided a reading service available to all – especially to the blind, visually impaired, and otherwise text-impaired population of Massachusetts and beyond. Each week, approximately 200 volunteers read aloud from national and local newspapers, current affairs publications, consumer information, and community-based announcements. TIC’s programming can be listened to by anyone, live or by podcast.
Volunteers Steve and Gail Mattern are producing a weekly half-hour podcast of Plymouth Independent stories, letters, and calendar listings. A new episode is released every Saturday and can be streamed here. Podcast subscriptions can also be set up for iTunes and other apps using this rss feed.
