It is sad to see the disinformation campaign being waged by those who want to continue the sale of nips in Plymouth. There are facts available because Plymouth is not the first town to ban nips. In those towns that banned, litter from Nips went down significantly.  No liquor stores closed. No one lost their jobs. Let’s not forget that some people bring nips into restaurants, depriving restaurants of the income from liquor sales. Nips are favored by teens. Nips are frequently consumed while driving.

Plymouth, its liquor stores, and its citizens will do just fine without nips. We all will benefit, though. The plastic in nips is not recycled (450-year life span). The environment benefits. Our roadsides benefit.

Let’s ban them.
