Regarding the proposed 40B project in North Plymouth and [Select Board Chair Kevin] Canty’s letter [to the state regarding it], I wonder how we can check the veracity of the following:

“In the letter, Canty wrote that the town has become overrun with 40b projects that have ‘placed considerable strain on town services and the town’s ability to provide critical life/safety support to the community. The 911 call volume from these locations far outpaces any projections, causing both the fire chief and police chief to rethink their deployment strategies,’ he wrote.”

I cannot find recent call logs for the Plymouth Fire Department. According to the Town Report, the Plymouth Fire Department responded to 202 fires in 2024 and 1,698 undefined good intent or public service calls. We contract with Brewster Ambulance (at no budgetary cost to the town) for medical emergencies.

Where is the strain on town resources? How can we verify Canty’s statement without timely public logs from the Fire Department? Where are the 40B projects Canty refers to in his statement?
