Karen Davis

Karen “Kerry” Davis, 75, of Plymouth, died Wednesday, March 27, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of Alan Davis, and the daughter of the late John S. and Lora E. (VonBergen) Hermistone. Born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, on June 29, 1948, Kerry was raised in Walpole. She met Alan in 1966 and in 1969 they married and began their life together. She worked as a second grade school teacher, a social worker with the Department of Social Services and Turning Point Women’s Shelter in Framingham. Later, she worked at the Housing Assistance Program in Hyannis, and earned her real estate agent’s license. She loved to play cards, and travel. She was devoted to her faith and was an active and loyal member of Faith Community Church in Plymouth.

In addition to her husband Alan, Kerry will be missed by her daughter Kim Duell and her husband Arthur of Wrentham; her son Jeff Davis and his wife Jennifer of Blackstone; grandchildren Nicole Duell, Owen and Madison Davis, and Aiden Hunter; and her brother William Hermistone of North Carolina.

A celebration of life will be held at Faith Community Church, 29 Carver Road, Plymouth, on April 20 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Faith Community Church Memorial Garden.
