I am voting for Dylan Fernandes, Democratic candidate for state Senate, Barnstable and Plymouth District. He has proven himself an effective state representative over the last seven years and will bring youth and vitality to his legislative mission in serving Plymouth.

What makes Dylan my candidate? He voted for the 2024 climate bill, voted for the 2024 Affordable Homes Act and supports LGBTQ people being allowed in public facilities. He voted for the Roe Act that codified abortion access in Massachusetts and secured more than $2 million for his district in this legislative budget session alone.  Compare Dylan’s voting record with his opponent’s record of voting “nay” on all of the above bills, and who secured a mere $140,000 in funding for Plymouth.

This is not an election to remain neutral and safe. The adage “all politics are local” is true. Dylan does not try to play it safe when explaining his voting record. He is voting to protect our future. He has worked on innovative legislation to prepare for the dynamic changes taking place in this 21st century. As an elder and lifetime resident of Plymouth, I believe it’s time for this younger generation to step up and Dylan is willing to do this.
