Barbra J. (Skulsky) Botelho

Barbra J. (Skulsky) Botelho, of Plymouth, died peacefully at home on Feb. 3. She was the beloved wife of David H. Botelho.

She was 77 years old.

Born on Feb. 28, 1948, in Plymouth, Barbra was the daughter of the late Harry and Molly (Kovner) Skulsky. A lifelong resident of Plymouth, she grew up with her family, attended Plymouth schools, and later studied at Wilfred Beauty Academy. Throughout the years, Barbra worked as a hair stylist, bringing care and creativity to many salons in the Plymouth area.

Barbra and David began their longtime relationship during their school days, riding the bus together, and their love grew as the years passed. They were married on Aug. 31, 1968, and were blessed with two daughters, Shira Briley and Lorianne Callahan (the latter preceded Barbra in death). She cherished time with her family and enjoyed visiting them in Florida. Barbra also loved crossword puzzles and playing Words with Friends.

Barbra is survived by her loving husband, David; daughter Shira Briley and her husband Eric of Port Charlotte, Florida. She was the mother of the late Lorianne Callahan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Toby Lamb of Big Bear, California; Devin Vogel of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; Tristan Vogel and his wife Sasha of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; Molly Mejia and her husband Andrew of Clayton, North Carolina; and Joshua Callahan. She was also to be the great-grandmother of a great-grandson due in April. She was the sister of the late Beverly Weiner of Boynton Beach, Florida.

Visiting hours will be held at Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court St., Plymouth, on Monday, Feb. 16, from 2 to 5 p.m. A private burial will take place at Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth.
