This [Business Beat column on the Benny’s Plaza site] is an example of the type of reasoned thought piece that makes the Independent so valuable.  Nice work presenting some very sensible alternatives, as well as calling out the core of small-town provincialism which darkens many local fiscal discussions. – Chuck Snowdon
