David A. Yuscavitch

David A. Yuscavitch, 75, of Plymouth, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11. He was the devoted husband of Mildred R. (Packard) Yuscavitch, the loving father of Leanne Walsh and her husband David of Plymouth, and Michael Yuscavitch of Plymouth. He was the cherished grandfather of Hayden Yuscavitch, Wayland Yuscavitch, and Miles Walsh. He is also survived by his sister, Alice Yuscavitch of Brockton.

Born in Boston on Dec. 2, 1950, David was the son of the late Vincent and Alice (Kengris) Yuscavitch. He grew up in South Boston and attended North Quincy High School and Boston State College. David began his career in law enforcement as a Boston Police Officer and later served with the Plymouth Sheriff’s Department for many years, retiring as an assistant deputy superintendent.

David and Mildred were married on Oct. 23, 1976, and together raised their loving family in Plymouth. David deeply cherished watching his grandsons grow and, as a devoted sports fan, never missed an opportunity to watch them play football. He also found joy in quiet moments spent at the Cape Cod Canal, reading the Boston Globe, and scratching lottery tickets.

A visitation will be held at the Cartmell Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Plymouth, on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a service in the funeral home at noon. Burial will follow at Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth.

Donations in David’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
