Sandra Walton Pratt

Sandra Walton Pratt, 87, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Sept. 26 with her husband, Donald W. Pratt, by her bedside.  Sandy was born on Oct. 1, 1937, in Winchester, daughter of the late Paul and Frances (Cove) Walton Sr.  She was raised in Winchester and Boston, graduated from Brimmer and May School in Chestnut Hill and attended the University of Miami.  She moved to Cohasset in 1954, and married Donald W. Pratt, her husband of 67 years, in 1958. They raised their four children there before moving to Plymouth in 2000.

Sandy worked as an office manager at South Shore Veterinary Associates in Weymouth, Roberts Animal Hospital in Hanover, and then at Scituate Podiatry for Dr. Daniel Riley. Sandy enjoyed traveling, especially on 12 cruises taken with family and friends. She was an avid reader and loved animals.  

Sandy is survived by her husband, her sons Donald W. Pratt Jr. and his wife Joanne of Mattapoisett, and Christopher C. Pratt and his wife Erin of Rockland; her daughters Wendy J. Pratt of Weymouth and Heidi J. Pratt of Scituate; and 10 grandchildren and seven great granddaughters. She was predeceased by her brother, Paul W Walton Jr. of Danvers, and her sister, Wendy Walton of New York City. Private services for immediate family will be held at the National Military Cemetery in Bourne.
