Richard (Dick) Carlton White Jr., 70, of Hull and Plymouth passed away peacefully on July 15.  He was married to his loving wife Jane (Weber) White for 47 years.  He was predeceased by his parents, Richard White and Linda (Dennison) White of Hull.

Dick was born in 1955 and lived in Plymouth for 35 years.  He served honorably in the United States Navy.  Throughout his lifetime he was an active-duty patrolman eventually retiring from the Plymouth Police Department.

Family and friends enjoyed Dick’s boundless energy and his joyful sense of humor. His friends, children, and grandchildren were the delights in his life, and he spent countless hours engaging in all kinds of activities: boating, beaching, camping, fishing, biking and gardening.  Life with Dick was always an adventure.

Dick is survived by his wife and four children: Stephanie Beadle (Minnesota), Jamie White Tourtellot and his wife Sue Keefe Tourtellot (Milford), Shawn J. White and his wife Jen Testa (Lowell), and Kimberly Jane White (Plymouth), as well as his cherished grandchildren, Ava, Kaleigh, Adam, Shawn and Nora. Dick is also lovingly remembered by his step-grandchildren, Kiley, Timmy and Kaiden.

Dick is also survived by his loving siblings: Mark White and his wife Debbie (Missouri), Kenneth White (Maine), Cheryl Malcolm and her husband Mark (Plymouth), Susan White (Hull), Kerri Hood and her husband Walter (Gloucester, RI) and many nieces and nephews.  Dick was especially close to his wife’s brothers, Ken Weber and his wife Amy, and Bob Weber.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at the National Cemetery in Bourne on August 12, at 11:15 a.m.

Memories of Dick, the love, laughter and kindness, will live in the hearts of those privileged enough to know him during his well-lived and loved life.
