It is with profound sadness that the family of Patricia White Salvador announce her peaceful passing at the age of 93 on Dec. 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on Aug. 27, 1931, Patsy was the cherished daughter of Margaret (Collins) White and William White. She grew up in Weymouth with her beloved brother Billy and sister Jane and was the eldest of more than 30 first cousins whom she remained close with all her life.
Patsy was a graduate of the Weymouth High School Class of 1949 and a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She worked for many years as secretary to the President of S.D. Warren Paper Company in Boston and her typing and shorthand skills were second to none.
In 1965, Patsy married the love of her life, Francis “Bussie” Salvador. They moved to Marshfield and raised their three daughters on Marsh View Drive, building a life filled with a strong sense of Catholic faith, community, love of family, adventure and joy. Together, they took their children on countless road trips, instilling a love for travel and exploration. Patsy was always the heart of the family gatherings, particularly at their beloved cottage in Dennis, where memories were made and will be cherished for generations.
In retirement, Patsy and Bussie enjoyed many winters in Jupiter, Florida, where they formed lasting friendships with fellow snowbirds. Patsy was also an avid “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” watcher (and player!) and those shows have certainly lost their number one fan. Also a true Boston sports fan, Patsy and Bussie enjoyed following their beloved Boston teams through ups and downs over the decades. They attended the World Series Championship duck boat parade as a family in 2004. It will always be a joyous Salvador family highlight.
Her grandchildren were the light of her life and “Nana” was often seen on the sidelines of skating recitals, lacrosse, hockey, and soccer games rooting them on.
She is predeceased in death by her husband Francis, survived by her sister Jane and brother-in-law Michael Bronchuk of Weymouth, daughters Audrey O’Brien and her husband Scott, Andrea McNamara and her husband Jim, and Debra Logan and her husband Casey, all of Plymouth; her adored grandchildren Maura and William O’Brien, Lauren, Sean, and Carter McNamara, Derek and Jason Logan; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home 619 State Road, Plymouth, on Jan. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. A celebration of fife Mass will be held on Jan. 10 at the Church of St. Peter, 86 Court St. Plymouth, at 10:30 am, with internment immediately following in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
The family wishes to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth for their care and compassion during Patsy’s final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Donations can be sent by mail to P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD, 21741 or made online. Patsy would also appreciate prayers that the Sox sign an impactful right-handed bat or two for the 2025 campaign.
