Judith Ann Fortini, age 85, of Plymouth, died Sunday, April 26, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth.
Born in Plymouth on Dec. 21, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin and Lois (Holmes) Dunham. She graduated from Plymouth High School and later attended secretarial school. She started working in her father’s bakery. After graduating she worked as a clerk for the MetLife Insurance Company, then at the A&W her family managed. She was also a teller for Plymouth Savings Bank, and later served as manager of her husband’s excavating and landscaping business. She was an active member of the Church of the Pilgrimage for more than 60 years.
Her family and friends remember her for her love of canning, knitting, sewing and scrapbooking.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Norman; two children Lisa Ann Wezowicz and her husband, John, of Taunton; and Robert Joseph Fortini and his wife, Nelcimar, of Plymouth; grandchildren Matthew R. and Nicole E. Wezowicz, Robert Joseph “Joey” Fortini Jr. and his wife, Audrey, and Bradyn L. and Gabriella V. Fortini.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, at the Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, Plymouth. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth.
