Thank you very much for the informative article on the 61A votes taken by the Select Board. I was at the June 9th meeting and shared the frustration of fellow residents that the actions taken on the part of the Select Board were lacking at best.

Your reporting regarding the extent of the well-publicized conflict of interest on the part of Mr. Canty and Mr. Golden, matched with the historical record of Mr. Sheridan places the SB vote itself into serious question.  There may not have been any unlawful actions in play here, however there is a clear case of an ethical breakdown that must be addressed.

Legal behavior tells us what we have to do, ethical behavior tells us what we should do.

How can the Plymouth Select Board move forward with such a dark cloud hanging over it?

To preserve the integrity of the Select Board and in order to preserve its ability to serve our town and its residents, Mr. Canty and Mr. Golden should resign their elected positions, and do so immediately.
