Authorities are investigating what they say was an apparent drowning of a 52-year-old man Wednesday afternoon at Charge Pond in Myles Standish State Forest.
Plymouth Police reported they got the 911 call of a possible drowning at about 2:04 p.m. In addition to Plymouth Police and state troopers, rescue workers form three other agencies were dispatched to help search for the missing man. Brewster EMS, Plymouth Fire Department, and state Environmental Police were all involved, according to a release from the Massachusetts State Police.
At 3:45 p.m., the man was located in water approximately 17-19 feet deep. He was pronounced dead at 3:52 p.m., authorities said. His name had not been released on Wednesday, and authorities are still investigating the death.
