Establishment Day with the New Plimmoth Gard (Plymouth)

Pilgrim Hall Museum hosts colorfully costumed re-enactors of the New Plimmoth Gard for outdoor festivities on Saturday, February 15th from 10 am to noon. This annual favorite includes live musket volleys on the museum lawn and an opportunity to meet and interact with costumed re-enactors as they brandish pikes, swords and muskets to commemorate the anniversary of the establishment of Plymouth’s first colonial militia in the winter of 1620/21.

Pilgrim Hall Museum is closed for tours during the winter and will open officially for its 201st season on April 2, 2025. The 200-year-old Museum is currently undergoing a multi-year, multi-million dollar restoration, funded in part by a Town of Plymouth Community Preservation grant.
